"My name is Amanda . I have an associate degree in Early Childhood Education from Chattahoochee Technical College and I have been working with children for 13 years. Seven (7) of those years have been in a Georgia Lottery funded Pre-K Program. I have been at Brookwood Learning Center for 4 years. I have worked with children of all ages and enjoy working with them all! I like the Pre-K program because the children are eager and curious learners. They are learning independence, problem solving skills, and social skills. As a Pre-K teacher, we are laying the groundwork for them to be successful learners throughout their lives . I became a teacher because I want children to have joy in learning and to become lifelong learners".
"My name is Vicki. I am proud to have worked for Brookwood Learning Center for fifteen years. I started as a parent with children who attended the Pre-K program here at Brookwood. I have three children, one of which has Tourettes Syndrome (TS), A.D.H.D. and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). It has been a learning experience working with the school system to get my son the help he deserves. I also enjoy working in the Summer Program, going on field trips and planning art activities. I believe that if you build a strong academic foundation that a child will be able to succeed in anything that they want to achieve in life. I try to provide a safe and loving learning experience in the classroom. I am a mother first and a teach second".
